There are number of steps that your technician can take to improve your wireless connection and speed. Here are our tips.

• Check that your cabling is all Cat6 standard.
• Your router or access point is Wireless AC compliant
• 2.4 is turned off and you only have 5G turned on
• Your wireless SSID is on a different channel to your neighbouring networks
• Always keep it secure!

Most up to date wireless routers have two modes 2.4G and 5G. By default most routers have both 2.4 and 5G bands enabled. However this can cause issues on larger networks. Typically if your devices in your home or business network are newer then turn 2.4G off and leave only the 5G turned on. Your wireless streaming and transfer rates will be faster however you may find the range a little shorter.
